98 ex to 97 hx exhaust

like all the 97 civic hx the dam headers/cat cracked and i am having problem finding a good used headers/cat. i have a 98 civic ex after market exhaust with dc headers and stock cat bolt on can i transfer it over just to the 97 hx to pass smog no modifications needed??? my 98 ex is a d16y8 and 97 hx is a d16y7.

i dont know how your smog regulations are but i dont think it will pass

in oregon they dont charge you if you fail smog. and to be honest unless ur in cali, as long as ur engine is healthy and you have a cat, you will pass no prob. I passed smog w/ flying colors and im rocking skunk2 header, and mega power r exhaust, did have to swap test pipe for cat though lol..but thats going back on tomorrow.
