What is the "Option" button on the 98 Honda Civic Remote for?

I am considering getting the 98 Honda Civic Remote for the wireless lock and I see some that have 2 buttons lock/unlock buttons and some have 3 buttons lock/unlock/OPTION.

What is the "Option" button on the 98 Honda Civic Remote for?

lol but seriously if im not mistaken i believe thats for a few things that you could hook up to like the opening trunk or opening/closing your windows or something like that.
if im wrong someone correct me
