Looks clean man I have a 2000 ex coupe myself. Just curious.. Why go 205's? Is it cause youre going lower? Thanks

My fault for not even reading that they already have a 215/40/17 on the car, only reason I can think of dropping down to a 205 would be with 215's you're worried about turning when you want to drop the car even lower, which is ridiculous.

Less sidewall too
That doesn't have anything to do with tire width if they're already running a 40 series tire.

A 215s sidewall is a touch taller then a 205.

The 40 series sidewall is determined by the width of the tire. Usually 40% of the width. Like 205/50 would be 50% of the 205mm width.

So if he wants to eliminate some tire rubbing, dropping to a 205 will help.

I shouldn't have said it has NOTHING to do with it...that was wrong on my part.
The difference however isn't that significant.
215's are a bit big anyway for a Civic with any significant drop.
