Adding High Flow Cat = Quieter?

Alright, I have a fairly easy question. I have a 98 HX (D16Y5) and my current exhaust setup is:
EX Header > OEM cat > 2.25" piping w/ 18" resonator > OBX twin loop

It gets loud and raspy over 4k, so would adding a high flow cat quiet it down?

no. the more "flow" that goes thru ur exhaust means a wider opening, and that means more noise. if you want quiet, get a muffler set up that has a removable baffle.

My new setup would be:
EX Header > OEM cat > Additional High Flow Cat > 2.25" piping w/ 18" resonator > OBX twin loop

that clear things up?

Why would you do that? Just put another resonator in before the muffler. Changing to a heavier muffler after you do that will tone the rasp/bee in a beer can noise down.

Another cat is expensive and not going to affect your noise level.
