I have a 2001 honda civic DX and the air conditioner just went out on me. I went to O'reilly auto parts and I bought an 18oz can of freon(h134a) with a gauge on it. When I hooked up the gauge with the engine on and with the ac on high the needle on the gauge was in the red zone. I was told that over filling will ruin my a/c compressor so I returned it. I read a few other post in another website and a guy had the similiar problem and he said that his thermal protector was the faulty part. Pleas help I'm so desperately in need fo some AC.
