alternater belt

till recently one of my belt whine and squeech like a mofo when the engine is cold
but when its warm it stop
i know for sure its the alternator's belt because when i pulled on it its loose
i did the same with the water pump belt it was tighter
so does anyone know how to adjust the belts? pictures will help

You have to loosen one fo the bolts, and pull the alternator towards the firewall. Theres two bolts ontop of the alternator. One that bolts thru the waterpump, and the other that bolts into the adjusting bracket. The one closest to the firewall is the adjusting bolt. Loosen that bolt up, and pull the alternator towards the firewall untill its tighter. Then, just tighten the bolt back up and your set. (Sorry, dont have a picture).

x2 ^^^ if its the alt belt. i thought it was just loosen that one bolt on that brass slider bracket and tighten w big bar, then tighten that bolt back on?
