Another window problem

98 civic ex 2dr passenger side window, rolls up but not all the way, it stays about an inch open and then it starts to make noises when power is applied, like trying to go up but all it does is jump up and down, any ideas ?????

same problem here. its most likeley the the teeth on the gear that makes you window go up.

Window most likely fell off the track. There was a recall on USDM civics a while ago about the driver window regulator. Go check out the Honda dealer with your VIN and see if you can get it replaced for free.

i would suggest going to a junk yard for that parts man but if you can't find it there's always the dealership

so the scissors on the door might be the problem.....

I had a similar problem. The window mounting clips, the plastic things holding the scissors to the window, broke. I had to buy a new window. Pain in the ass, but had to get it done. Take off the door panel and take a look.
