Anybody able to help with a possible faulty EGT gauge?

My exhaust gas temperature gauge seems to have developed a malfunction, the needle does move but it constantly reads around 350 degrees when it has power, even if I only turn the electrics on after not driving it for a week! It never goes up or down while driving. In all the pages I have read on the net they either work or read 0 which is a bit odd.

I was wondering if anybody here has any ideas, all the cables look fine, as do the sensors. Is it possible to measure a resistance through the sensor? Anybody know the resistance for a Blitz gauge?

Thanks for any help!

the ONLY thing i can suggest is to start to address ALL the variables.. COMPLETELY rewire it.. and if it STILL fails to work correctly it is obviously the gauge or sensor.. and the only way to tell for sure is to swap with known working parts...
