car is a 1998 civic LX auto.

1. how many quarts of auto trans oil is needed?

seems like trans is slipping. cruising around 55mph rpms is jumping up and down, feels like gears shifting up and down constantly.

2. what oils should i use since im having slight tranny problems? (is honda atf and lucas non-slip oil a good combo?)

car has very high miles. around 218,xxx miles.

Kinda sounds like your torque converter. Mine does that too. Im pretty sure it's normal but wait and see what others say.

2.7 quarts for a drain and refill. You should do this 2-3 times.

Honda ATF or a Honda-recommended ATF will work.

Sounds like the oil is low or faulty shift soleniods. Use honda atf fluid. It takes 2.9 if u dont drain the torque converter,6.2 if u do.

thanks for the replys. the slipping just started days ago so hopefully it goes away after a couple fluid changes. i'll post again if it goes away or not.
