I tell you what, when I'm sitting in traffic for an hour, I wish I had an automatic, but outside of that, I've been driving a manual for years. I guess its all on what you're doing with it....

What about CVT's. They don't have a torque converter. Would you say it's more benefical than the standard auto and almost on par with a manual. In other words, can it handle the torque.

Cvt trannys weren't meant for torque. They are belt and chain driven. They also require a lot maintenence and their parts are hard to find. I doubt they can produce a sufficient amount of torque or if any without breaking some thing quick. You actually won't even feel any torque because there is no transission in between gear because there is no gears.

It might make you feel like you're going really fast tho lol.

autos are nice imo in 4 door cars, luxury style vehs, trucks
manual for everything esle
