B&M short shifter part #45047 installation???

So when installing this shifter does the bend face the driver or does the main bend face away from the driver. When installing these types of shifters can you install them backwards or do they only install one way?

the bend normally goes towards the back of the car. you can install it backwards but you'll be reaching really far and smacking the console when you shift...

That's what i Thaught, but then i noticed when i shift into first it allmost seems like the shift nob is facing the wrong way ( the numbers face away from me). I assumed the bend faces the driver just becuase that's how the stock one was and this shifter is supposed to have the stock bend.

Here is the shifter, Notice that even though it has a bend the pivet piont ( or ball at bottom ) and the top almost line up even though it has a bend. Maybe that's why it feels like it's a bit backwards.
Anyone running this shifter?

yeah, thats a dual bend shifter. it moves the knob back towards the driver more. i dont have one like that so i dont know what it should be like.
