Well I was test driving this 00 civic si because I was gonna buy the motor, well during the drive the motor runs fine but as soon as it hits vtec it hesitates for a split second, wondering what this could be and is it easyto fix? I was wondering maybe it just needs a oil change

anybody? ok well i have some suggestions, been researching and people have said oil, maybe dirty vtec solenoid....

Check oil level, check the screen inside the Vtec. Restart the ECU. just unplug it for afew moments and plug it back in. Check to see if its throwing any codes and passable saved codes on the ECU before unplugin it. Thats all thats coming off of my head right now. And i dont know why anyone else hasn't help you out yet... let me know if this helps ...
