b18a1 axle problem

i have a 91 b8a1 in my eg hatch. I was looking at the driverside axle today and it is just barely in the half shaft . Wich axle goes to wich side im afraid to drive my car cause i dont want the axle to pop out ant help is greatly apriciated.

Right front goes to the passanger side, left front goes to driver's side.

They should look completly different on the inner spline side. The driver side should have a longer splined side(inner) opposite of the hub side(outer).

ok i think i know what your talking about. this is the way i have it right now i think its the same way you described i have the axle with the longest splines on the drivers side and i have the one with the shorter spline on the on the pasenger side.

As long as you really smack the axle in there like its a slide sledge you won't have any problems.
