b20 idles at 5000 rpms at crank

Hey all I've searched dozens of treads post forums but everyone's issuse seems to be different
I just purchased a b20b swap everything is hooked up correctly and when I start the car it immediately revs/idles at 5000 rpms ....

The only problems I can think of is
1. Tps sensor (picked up today needs calibration)
2. I might still have left over gasket pieces stuck on the intake manifold
3. Iac needs to be cleaned or stuck
4. My luck is s**t and purchased a faulty motor :x (warranty is up)

My vehicle is an 98 integra ls (had a 96 civic rip)
But I figured I'd still ask. it's more about the motor not about the car.

Thanks in advance guys #frustrated

You've pretty much put yourself on the right track. Start with cleaning the IACV.

Also, check the idle screw. make sure your TPS and MAP sensors aren't switched.

Also, any CEL lit, and how is the idle when the motor is at normal operating temp?

Ok cool I'm really hoping it's the iac.

I know the tps and map sensors are connected to the right plugs.

I was trying not to mess with the idle screw bc since the b18b1 and b20b are pretty identical would it matter ? (Maybe slightly)

And no cel codes are showing up :/
