body help - replace 5th gen quarter panel

Does anyone have any links or could run me through how to replace a quarter panel ?

Tips , suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated .

What I did is take a dremel or other cutting tool, cut out all of the rusted/ damaged qp, take a flat piece of sheet metal, roll and shape it to match the part you took off, you can use the rusted part and other side for reference. Make it sit flush, then begin welding it back and keep sanding it down and using body filler (the kind you mix not cheap bondo) until it is smooth. Sand, primer, and repaint. That's really one of the few options.. if it sounds difficult, it is. I never would have done it myself if my dad didn't do bodywork. good luck =( Honda cancer sucks.

Yeah well i ordered a full replacement quarter panels, just wondering if i should overlap or tac weld it together .

i'd tac weld and fiberglass sand fiberglass sand the edges.

More and more of the shops are glueing them in instead of welding.
Useing sheet metal screws to hold it in place till it sets and then removeing them.:cool:

Go to civic-eg.com There is a guy on there named teal he has a diy in the diy section on that forum that takes you step by step.

That guy is the s**t for working on egs.
