BUILT ls/vtec help

ok guys, if you were building a complete ls/vtec, which parts would you go with.... i need help with the following.....keep in mind this motor will be turboed later NOT N/A.......

which...

pistons
rods
cams
cam gears
retainers
valve springs
sleeves
injectors
throttle body
fuel rail
tranny

i think thats it......any suggestions or setups would be great, keep in mind, i cant afford the best of everything, and this is also for a drag car.....

id go with a b20vtec, same process, just more displacement.

sorry i didnt answer ur question lol, id go with eagle rods and JE pistons, the stock crank is great

Well if your using a B16 head then leave that like it is....fo rknow....Since your using a B18 yor gonna want beefier connecting rods with bigger cap bolts. Low comp pistions, a sleeve brace if you dont resleeve. Oh ya when you replace the internals keep the crank and get it micro polished, zero balanced. and replace the stock oil pump gear.

Now as far as teh head goes.....Get turbo spec cams and dual valve springs with titanium retainers. A set of cam gears will do you good to when you dyno teh engine. Oversized valves would be good..But if you do that I recommend replacing all seats and seals.

Also since your gonna boost. I would upgrade your ignition all the way around.

JE pistions or Aries 84mm
Stock micropolished crank
LA Sleeves
Block is bored honed and hot tanked
B16 head w/ skunk2 springs and Ti retaners
either GSR or Skunk2 turbo cams
custom equal lenght turbo header
Turbonetics T3/TO4e 54 trim .64 a/r turbo
Turbo XS BOV Tail 38mm wastegate
Sperco or Greddy I/C
RC fuel injectors
aem fpr and rail
and a BIG HOLE in my wallet

A rising rate fuel managment unit is a good idea also....But I wouldnt buy it until after 15PSI or so.

fmu's are a terrible idea at anything more than 6 psi. they are a good cheap way to manage fuel, but they are not accurate and they put a lot of stress on the fuel system. a tuneable ecu and big injectors are a much better idea.

They really arnet that bad. I wish I could remember the name of the one Tommy over at Redline Motorsports in Savannah has on his 240 thats powered by a RB26DETT. I think it started with a S. s**t I cant remember.
