this is how it started i was faded and oxidized

so i followed a thread that said to use meguires boat product
i use oxidizing #49
i used meguires flag ship wax
and then followed with Marykate Nano Boat Wax with Carnauba and PTFE
it turned out ok but i think that i am going to wet sand it cause it still has so much cloudyness going to it
but i will keep you guys updated on the progress that i make

ok, CF hoods some with resin, no clear coating to protect. So you'll need to wet sand the hood as much as you can, and then get it re-cleared. that would be your best bet.

Can you clear on top of the clear coat on hooods?

I see SOO many f**ked up CF hoods in parking lots. Why is that?

CF fades like crazy, kids i know wax their hoods like every 2 days.
but basically they're going to fade if they're in the sun for long periods of time.

ok people i have an update started at 10 or 11 just got done with the wet sanding and this is what i ended up with looks so much better:
after 1000 grit then 1500 grit

then i started with turtle wax compound the heavy duty stuff (just one coat plan on putting more than that on it)

i'll post up my pics later if i have time. i'm telling you..it will look good for a short time then go back to looking crappy. don't waste your time. i spent a whole weekend wetsanding and clear coating it too. let me know how yours goes though. it might turn out better.

You still should just paint it to match your car.
