The sensor probly has just gone out. What code exactly are you throwing. If the sensor is just out, thats one of the few repairs I would accually recomend sending to a pro to do. I hate cracking open the timing cover, and the sensor is a pain. If you really feel like braving the repair, there is a write up on it in the haynes manuel, or atleast there is one for my car.
