I have a check engine light and when i put the reader on it to see what it is, the reader says there is no link (no connection). what does this mean? i have a P73 ecu, obd2 for a 97 B18C5.

1997 civic. When I reset the ecu, the engine bogs down. Once the cel comes on, the car runs great.
how do i jump the service connector to retrieve the CEL code? do i still need a obd2 reader?

i bet its the fuse. ill check that first. then if the fuse is fine, ill check the blue connector.

If the ceiling/dome light works, fuse 43 is fine.
