check engine light help please!!!!

whats up people.. quick questions for all. i was driving yesterday and when i came to a complete stop my check engine light turned on.. I then drove home and connected it to the computer

it said there was one code and i read: catalyst efficiency below threshold (bank 1)

^^ what does this mean . i seafoamed my car like 2-3 days before this light came on but autozone told me i need to replace my catalyst convertor and o2 sensor is this true...thanks for the feedback

It's an o2 sensor code basically. And... seafoam is known to kill o2 sensors.
Replace the primary o2 sensor first and reset the ecu and see if the CEL goes away. If it does you don't need to replace the catalytic converter.

Good chance he would still get a CEL because the readings between the primary and secondary o2 sensors will be the same.
