checking tranny oil

i have a 1999 civic ex 2-door. i recently got this car and i wanna check the automatic tranny fluid but there is no dipstick(?) where is the dipstick ... by the way i got my hands on ahaynes manual but its too general( it lists civic cr-v integra) and i cant seem to get good info

my bad fellas i checked the book and it showed exactly where the dipstick was located , i do have another question though -- when i drain the flud and replace how many quarts of fluid do i need , also the maual states that it needs dexron 3 fluid ?? can i use the regular synthetic atf??

I have a Helm manual. When I get a chance, I'll look it up and either scan the page or tell you the info you need.
