Cigarette Lighter Not Working

I have a 97 civic and the cigarette lighter doesn't work so I can't charge my phone or anything. It used to work and then one day it just stopped. I checked the fuse and it's fine, please help?

check if you have power going to the wires, it might just be the inside of the outlet is dirty and not making a connection.

The wires may have come off. There are two wires connected from the back. If you take off the lower part of the console, you will see it. You could always just pick up a new unit at Autozone for under $6, if you still can't get it to work.
