Civic steering noise while driving

I can be driving straight or be turning and my car is knocking in a sequence. Like thud thud thud thud. Stops a second and it comes right back .I know I have a bad outter tie rod and the rack and pinion is leaking .it feels weird on the steering wheel.if I hit the brakes going over bumps the wheel will cut to the left or the right. i have no idea what is wrong PLEASE HELP.your advice will be greatly appreciated

I shortened your title to be to the point. The fact that your posting proves you need assistance so using "please help" is already implied.

You have no idea whats wrong yet you know you have a bad tie rod and leaking rack & pinion. :smackself Its likely related and you may also have a bad wheel bearing and/or CV joint. Go get it fixed because it sounds like you're likely not aware of how to fix any of that anyways.

Also, for future reference please include the year and trim of your Civic.
