INVOICE:
PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES FOR CODE P0505 IDLE CONTROL SYSTEM MALFUNCTION
-Preformed diagnostic procedures
Inspected for a vacuum leak- OK
Preformed testing at connectors- OK
ran engine to operating Temperature, idles at 550RPM(Which i think is false, as i cant reproduce that)
Disconnect IAC while running, idle drops down to 200RPM. Idle should raise not lower. Recommend replaceing the IAC valve motor. Also recommend to clean throttle body and port and IAC port during repairs.

Does this seem wrong to anyone else but me? normally i do diagnoastics myself however the -40C wether and no garage made me take it to the shop.
is it just me or should the RPM lower when disconnected normally, not raise.

If you have a manual transmission, the idle speed should drop when the IACV is unplugged.

I also am getting a p0505 everytime I drive my car to school (2 times a week) and was wondering when you unplug the IACV do you keep the 2 coolant plugs still connected?
