cold start lag

lately my car (98 coupe) has been has been lagging to start in the morning...it kinda sound like its not gunna start up but those. A few month ago a had the same problem and it ended up being that starter coil...so that was replaced then which stopped it from lagging. But now its starting to lag again and i rather find out what's wrong before it ends up leaving me stranded again. Any ideas?

What exactly is the problem? Is it that the starter won't crank the engine when the key is turned to ON(III) or does the starter crank the engine fine but it won't start? Or does the starter crank the engine slowly?

It cranks for longer than usual and just when i think its not gunna turn on it starts up...i just wanna diagnose this before it because a problem. Thanx RonJ

How old are the spark plugs, wires, cap, and rotor? When these key parts are bad, the coil's life will be shortened.
