Need help connecting HIDLights I understand the wires that go to the lights and also the wires that go to the ballast but where does the other set of wires go THANKS

Thanks they gave me the wrong year of HIDs
okay i got a set for myself and heres the problem...theyre hooked up fine and all..
its suppose to have DRL (daytime running lights) ...its a 01 civic kit so it has only one bulb per side that has the hi and low beam in it...
during the day, my lights don't turn on, but when they do, its like a regualr high beam light... this is used as daylight...
when i try to click for the high beam, the light just flickers and stays the same...
at night when my lights are on, the bulb is fine...and my high beam also works.
its just during the day, when the lights turn on, instead of regular lights coming on, my high beam comes on...
is this normal on 01 civics?
