CTR Headlight Question

I was wondering if anyone knows if the 99-00 USDM headlight sockets for the turn signal will fit into the same hole on the 99-00 CTR headlights. I just picked up a set of CTRs and for some reason, the socket refuses to screw into place. The little notches all line up but won't screw in. Do you need a different socket for the CTRs? Thanks in advance.

It's a tight fit, but the sockets are the same I promise. I had to fiddle with mine for a bit to get it to go in.

Hmm...because I was trying for about 10 minutes and the plastic notches started to chip so I figured the sockets wouldn't work
