Well i solved my strut bar problem...

The strut bar i got wouldn't clear the SRI and i coudln't send it back because i love the tighter feel..so intead of getting spacers for the bar..just made a new intake!

Tell me what you think!
but first heres a pic of my problem..

oh yea btw the cloth was so it didn't rattle to s**t
and heres the newly fabbed..

did you cut the pipe down a little where it went on the throttle body?
thats what i did to clear my strut bar.

nice work, I did something like that to but it wasnt the tube it was the rubber tube that i cut down.

This was one of the main reasons I never got an intake when I had my y7 intake manifold. It was really unclear as to which tower bars would and would not clear with an intake.

Good job on the fabrication though

the y7 manifold is the gay. my friends LX intake was a pain in the balls with his strut bar too. we just hack-sawed an inch or so off the inlet tube of the intake

yea i thought about swtichin the mani....is it pretty self explanitory to put in a y8 mani? and yea i did cut the pipe down a little bit...not much tho..

if i get a new mani ill just mod the intake again..

I never had a problem with mine....both my SRI and CAI fit fine with no problems whatsoever.
