d series transmission

i need to find a tranny to go with my d16y8. ever since i put in my stage 2 clutch it whines real bad when i launch hard. anyone know where i should go to find a transmission and how much they run?

also, which transmissions are compatable with a d series?

does it stop when you push the clutch in ... if so might be the trhowout bearing, if thats good, try and open the tranny case and look at the input shaft bearing or the counter shaft bearing sometimes they walk and cause a whining...

its not the throwout bearing. brand new clutch and flywheel with the clutch release bearing and pilot bearing.

i am transmission retarded. i know nothing about em

ISB sounds like helicopter gun with a whurling noise to it. if it sounds like a supercharger(sorry only discription i can use) then its further in metal to metal contact on the gears. so low on oil.

happens when low on oil other internal problems. or bearings out of spec. gears could be too tight too this is a cause of low oil or overheating...

its def a whine but the transmission is noticably noisier when im off the clutch peddle it idle. if i just coast at 20 or so and just put it in first (not coming off the clutch just put the shifter in first) you can hear a loud, high pitch spinning/whiring sound.
