The D15B Is "basically" the VX bottom end with a EX/Si head. The pistons are PM3 DX flat-tops.

Mine is bacically stock and it handles 9psi very well. Butt dyno puts me at around 200whp.

well i've been on honda-tech and saw a guy put this up. i was curious if it was true or not. it got me very interested. i have a d15z1 and would like to know if this is true. thanks

Technically, no, the VX bottom end is different in small ways.. but in actuality, the d15b and vx block is the same, as they use the same timing belt and water pump. (the z6 parts wont fit correctly).. the head is nearly identical to a z6 head if the d15b isnt a 3 stage vtec or vtec-e model. The only difference in the head is the d15b uses a more aggressive camshaft due to the shorter stroke of the block.
