D16Z6 Poor acceleration

Hi guys i have a prett huge problem. I just bought a 1994 Del sol with the D16Z6 well whenever you accelerate it feels like its missing but its not when you let the rpms go down from say 5K its smooth it only when you accelerate thats it hesitating like its missing and at idle the same way it idles at about 1100. I have tried various things to fix it but havent yet any ideas anyone maybe some one who has have this problem??

missing? please describe more. if its "missing" gears it could be clutch or tranny

What have you tried? Did you replace the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor? Have you checked the ignition timing?

no its missing like ignition wise. i have replaced the cap, button, plugs not wires but there coming, it has a msd external coil and cap. i checked the timing on the crank and cam and everything lines up good....idk i think it may be the distributor

the check engine light is on but the ecu is chipped and has hu logg. so i cant read the code

Is there a way to pull the codes? By the way, I have heard nothing good about MSD external coils.
