Does anyone know where i could get a used D16 and manual tranny or any other motor with low miles for fairly inexpense? My engine decided it wanted to go kaplewy on me today.

Check your local Classified adds like Craiglist's or Kijiji generally you can keep pretty lucky and get a cheap one on their with minimal problems !
