Dif between EJ8 and EM1?

Was woundering if there is a difference in the exhaust system(cat-back) between the 96-00 ex coupe and the SI?

as far their differences cat back it should be the em1 has a sway bar and disc brakes...dont see how any of those would cause clearance issues tho.

It's the same. At least this is what I was told by a Honda Tech friend of mine who had an Si.

Ive heard of people putting SI-stockcatbacks on their EXs and DXs... but maybe it was all in vain?

a 99/00 si catback will fit on a 96-00 civic ex as well as the hx
visa versa

the cat sits under the car on the si/ex for the 6th generation

the dx lx cx all have cats that sit in the engine bay on the header. This changes the length of the catback

Technically speaking the dx lx and cx dont even have cat backs since the cat is on the header and then the header swoops under the car.

the SI has a 1/4 bigger piping if im not mistaken and it has a chrome tip
