do I need a downpipe???

Just got my DC sports 4-1 header in the mail today. I have an Apexi full catback exhaust on the car already. I keep hearing about downpipes, do I need one to make my header fit/work???

The header is model specific, I thought I can just have it installed without any other parts.
Here's a picture of it.

it didnt come with one? is that liek for a DX? looks like it needs the cat mounted to it.

I'm used to hearing "downpipe" referred to a turbo kit

just go get a custom pipe made so it deletes the cat

THHeeerrreeee should be a second part to that, you have the 4-2 part, where is the 2-1 part?

There is no other half lol,
you have the 4-1 Part # HHC5019 right there, that's all that comes with it, 1 piece ready to mount

The 4-2-1 Part # HHR5019 is the 2pc Race Header

of course there is no second part, it's a 4-1 header NOT a 4-2-1. I was just curious if I need anything else, or does it connect directly to the existing exhaust.
It's an 02 Civic EX coupe, D17.

yes it will work, it connects directly to your catilic convertor.

yea getta down pipe or you will sound like most of the fart cans that run around

it dosent take a down pipe, that stock cat on those engines are in the engine bay and bolt to that

well like I said the first time, I already have an Apexi N1 catback exhaust on the car. I hope it won't make it too loud
