i figure i will receive some flaming for being interested in this but im not interested in it because it says it type r or that it may or may not be the same style.i just need a good cheap shift knob to replace the walmart style one on my car.I just wanted to know if they are good quality and just opinions on it.

the type r knobs are pretty nice...just dont get chrome because they will cook your flesh after sitting in the sun
i got a gunmetal one for $20. works fine. thats all it matters.

1-shift knobs arnt all the same, they are weighted the nicer they are
2- any metal knob will cook your hand just deal with it, i have the skunk 2 knob hella nice, i had the obx type r knob and it is hella light and small i didnt like it at all but if you are intrested in getting one i will sell you mine.

Here's a pic of my bro's CTR shift knob from ebay. It works fine he likes it a lot. I had it first, but it used to get hot while driving. Hes says it doesn't get hot on his car. Maybe because I have a short shifter. Anyways see the pic it's 6th gen Hatch.
