Ecu Problems

wuts goin on....i recently bought a 2000 coupe with a b16a2 n it, and it runs great completly stock and i went to get the inspection done and when they hooked it up to the computer to check the odb i guess and there system shows no data so i wasnt able to get a sticker. no check engine lights are on either...should i get another stock ecu? becuase mines might be chipped? i also heard try using a sohc vtec ecu might work any help thanks

idk how inspection works on the east coast but i can almost garuntee you that they wont pass it with the wrong computer.

i guess just see if you can borrow a stock one so you dont have to buy one?

I'm n boston so they're real strick with emisssions I don't have the wrong ecu cuz it says the type it is on it and it matches my engine....but I'm thinking that the ecu is chipped that's y its not showing any data when they connect it to the machine..u think if I get a stock ecu it would b good
