ecu throwing code 21

sup guys.. today i installed my pherable chip into my p28... but now its showing a code 21.. i re wired my vtec and everything and its still throwing the code.. what can it be? i notice that if i dont punch it then the check engine light doesnt come on.. but once it exceeds a certain rpm the light comes on...

It comes on when vtec engages. IS the ecu a converted P06? It sounds like a bad transitor.

nah its a straight p28

and i also tried a stock p28 and the vtec worked

VTEC Solenoid Valve
defective circuit or unplugged / defective solenoid valve

sounds liek something is wrong with teh chip

I don't think the chip would cause it. It would be the ecu it self or faulty wiring.
