*Effective* Transmission/Gear Oil Change

So I've done about 2 changes of the oil in my '94 Civic Dx (manual transmission) but I always seem to have trouble with it... :what: I was thinking that maybe using Glad's "Press 'N' Seal" plastic wrap would help seal the filler hole while I filled it - think of a Capri Sun/Kool-Aid pouch.

Are there any effective methods you would like to share? Is a transmission oil worth it/necessary in your opinion?

Thank you to those who have helped out with how to do it, and those that gave me a warning on how not to get that bolt out! haha

I ship out to South Carolina for basic training in a few days, and I want to leave my car in a great state so I can throw some 15"x7" rims and Toyo tires (Proxes R1Rs) on it when I come back! I know this is now off topic, because it doesn't have much to do with an oil change, but what wheels do you recommend? (In-expensive and still durable) I don't want to have BBSs ($1000+ per set) on a car I bought for close that amount! Motegi SP10 in Hyper Black sound good?
