eg wont start :(!!!!!!

Ok so 1995 civiv 1.5l ....drove off the other day red light, green light, I step on the gas car stutter s and shuts off.lights and electrical still on.so I get it home.i pull my spark plugs and there covered in oil so I replace my valve gasket.and spark plugs.and new gas pump.car took for ever to crank over finally turns over and car idles horribly and shuts off if u dnt play with the gas.any ideas please help

make sure your fuel pump isn't bad, i had an issue similar to that last year. light turned green, i didn't move anywhere and the car almost shut off, i had to push my car out of the middle of the intersection. very embarrassing! however the next day i replaced the pump and it was smooth sailing from there. also, check your alternator, those things have also been known to drain power.

Listen for whether the fuel pump primes and look for bright white spark at all 4 spark plugs. Then go from there.
