nice looks good, but why would you go through the trouble of getting and swaping a jdm engine only to get a d15 are you planing to boost?

The engine came in the car. btw that motor has a larger cam and better head flow than the d16z6. Its the best SOHC for boost.

I HATE conversions but ................... I guess it's not that bad. It could be worse.

it came out really well I think, I like it a lot. Would you be interested in doing a photoshoot some time? I live up north but I go to school at EIU so I'm pretty close to you.

looks alright IMO...
whatevers wrong with urs is actually whats wrong with all 5th gen with 6th gen front..
it sjust never lines up right...
whether its fender to headlight or headlight and the gap between the bumper..
its always something...

anyways it still looks good..get the hood to line up and ur set..

any future plans?

did you have to modify the wiring harness to the lights at all? Or is it similar?
headlight harness is the same from the 5th to 6th gen

very nice! i love that front end.

haha, same thing happened with my hood. the guys at the tranny shop tried closing the hood with that pole holding it up, it just cracks. but i got it done a long time ago.

It actually only cost me $2400.. i had wrecked the front end (core support was bent in) and any body shop wanted $4600.. so this saved me money.
damn flip... i made a whole mold of the conversion and bought a 60 gal air compressor, a paint gun, pneumatic disc sander, pneumatic die grinder, for $1900 :P

then again... ive yet to pull any parts from the mold.

so you win this round

Looks pretty good...I think the paint helps tho since it is so damn clean. Could look a lot worse. Just slap on an oem or oem style hood and you'll be much better off...

i am somewhat mad at you but thats only because i have the same conversion. in all honesty go with the stock 99-00 carbon fiber hood. personally i think it looks better, but thats up to you.

not my cup of tea... IMHO 6th gen front end is too bulky for the EGg . . . maybe a coupe could pull it off. . but still . .

but i must say, at least the conversion looks nicely done

Interestnig. I think thats actually the first time I've seen a picture of that done. I don't know if I like it or not. May seem crazy but it might almost look better with the 96-98 front as it's a little less boxy
