EM2 Input shaft bearing transmission

So ive been searching around lots of websites and i have come to the conclusion that my input shaft bearing has gone on my 2001 EM2. I know its this beacuse when my clutch pedal is fully down, the grinding sound goes away! And when im driving in first gear and take my foot off the gas pedal it sounds like the car has just been put into reverse. The car only has 83,000 miles on it! My question is should i get the tranny rebuilt? or should i get a reconditioned 1?

If any one could recommend a place to do this it would be much appreciated!

Crack it open and replace the main bearings.
