Im not familiar enough with this engine to offer suggestions as to the origin of the leak, but I will remind you to make sure you have enough oil. Low oil will cause ticking and if left unattended it can lead to damage.

Try to find an exploded service book diagram of the engine, then backtrack the part or gasket through an online parts store.

Clean up all the oil residue, drive around and periodically check to see where you first notice oil that'll help pinpoint where it's coming from.

I'm not familiar with these engines either but keep us posted

Have you confirmed if you're running low on oil?

Found out that some of the 06-08 civics have an oil consumption problem.

Two different oil issues. Some burn it and need a re ring and some have porous blocks and need short blocks.

Honda extended the warranty and didn't issue a recall since they couldn't pin it down to all civics.

Go by your local dealer and mention it to them
