No, don't do it good way, go get the gel and put it on there, or even better, just spray paint the lens blue.

^ i love the last pic hmmm, i use my 70-300mm CONSTANTLY, and i hardly ever use it w/ a tripod (mostly because i dont HAVE a tripod ) are you shooting on manual? if there is decent enough light out, even in the late afternoon, you should be able to set it up and still get crisp pics

I went to Best Buy yesterday just to look around and I saw for the first time the 70-300mm VR in real life. I was surprised as to how big it is compared to my 55-200mm. Even the 55-200mm VR lens looked so much bigger than my zoom lens did. I would love to get it but the fat amount of money isn't here right now.

I WAS shooting on manual playing around looking for the right settings to capture the truck but I began to freeze my ass off(that's Canada for ya) and my fingers began to get very cold so I switched to Auto and turned off the flash. As my hands got colder they also got shakier so a lot of the pictures turned out blurry. I had an awesome photo of the left Tail light and the Honda badge but when I went to open it up in Photoshop it turned out blurry. That's were the VR option would have came in to save the day.

same thing happened to me, only i just further angered my cd player by putting Razorblade Romance back in for another year....HIM ftw!!!

ahhh...yeah, the 70-300 is pretty chunky, although mine isnt VR....i guess it helps that the weather down here is still in the high 70's / low 80's....hands are nice and smooth

first 2 are HDR, the second one was the first one i took and attempted to do HDR, kinda works, but the first pic turned out pretty good.

once i get time off work. ill be going to take some more photos in harpers ferry, should be good.
