I’ve taken my 2000 Civic I love to 2 mechanics now. Neither one could find why the exhaust fumes were coming into the cabin. They didn’t say they could smell them. But I can, as could my passengers. They suggest it’s burning oil, but I’m pretty familiar with that smell, and this is definitely smelling more like exhaust.
It only happens when I come to a stop and if I’m bringing in fresh air.
Do muffler or ??? shops have specialized tools or anything? The mechanics I took to are very well respected, so I think it’s not going to be something obvious.
