i dont see anything about having a turbo there, its 2 separate questions. durrrrrrr

1-what engine is better for boost
2-what hp/trq do u get when u just put the vtec on it (can have I/H/E)

completely build both ie: rods, pistons, valves, springs, retainers, cams, head work.

if you go with a B20 block, sleeve it . no question about that...unless you want epic failure north of 8500rpm
a b20 is nothing but a bored out LS anyway

i'd say just go LS/Vtec boost

yeah thats wa i heard if u bore the LS to 84mm instead of 81 u get the 2.0L just like the b20

is it required to to fully build the engine like that i heard that once u swap the VTEC onto the LS it makes the compression 9:0:1 or very close to it. idk if ima have the funds to do the internal work. it should be safe with a good tune at 250HP(boosted) DD right? or at least until i have the funds do do the engine work but if i cant i would rather be boosted first before engine work if its not needed for 250HP

anyone know what HP/TRQ the LS VTEC has once the vtec is swapped on with no other mods i gonna guess around 160HP but thats only a guess

i've seen stock LS bottom ends with B16a head make 176 whp with one hell of a tune...reliable..i really don't think so.

i'd say if your looking for 250whp with boost.. just go LS turbo...with the money you'll save by not doing LS vtec you can upgrade the LS' internals to handle even more power...
