not that this is exciting to anyone else... but....

school for me! HOORAY!



i start at the academy of art university in san francisco on january 29th. my fees are paid and i'm just waiting for a call from my admissions advisor before i register. oh, and a few signatures to finalize loans (which hurts my butt a little to be borrowing so much in one shot). but, that's it.

i'm excited. not excited about commuting, but i don't even mind that so much. i've f**ked around in college long enough, and now i actually have the opportunity to go to a school that offers the very specific major i want.

really? wow! i knew it was prestigious... have you seen the list of companies they do internships and job placement with?!

SCEA, pixar, disney, sega, EA, activision, lucas arts, dreamworks, to name a few....

and the hardest part is that is expensive as f**king hell.

my ultimate goal is a character designer. i've wanted to do this since childhood. but with that degree, i could be a storyboard artist, conceptual artist, etc.

boo hiss. no halo! though i bet being a conceptual artist for that game is kinda fun. and too bad they'll make like two FFs before i get a job. f**king squeenix takes forever. always been my dream to work there though. when i was a little kid i said i wanted to make characters for square.
