I believe DARK GRAY is the closest you'll get to black unless you paint the speaker deck. I'd ask NOFX though...she would no the answer.

US '96-'00 Civic coupes only had TYPE K (Classy Gray) and TYPE F (Excel Charcoal) interiors. US '96-'00 Civic sedans only had TYPE F (Excel Charcoal) and TYPE P (Medium Taupe) interiors.

There were never any US 6G Civics with black interiors or even black paneling.

As for the part fitting, I'm not sure but I wouldn't hold my breath. The part numbers are different (S02 for coupe versus S01 or S04 for sedan).

If he really is so set on a black one, they came on VTi sedans in Europe.
