It's a genuine 1993 Honda Civic EG9 SiR, imported directly from Japan to Thailand in 1993. After 14 years of single ownership with countless modifications and now she is basically an Integra Type-R in an EG9 Shell. Anything and everything that could be ripped out from ITR 98 Spec are now installed. I do plan to rebuild the engine with B16B Pistons and stroke it up to 2.0L with ported head, new cams, valves and valve springs, etc. Hopefully it would produce more than 220whp.
As for genuine EG9 SiR, there have been (on customs official records) only six of them legally imported in Thailand. Most of EG9 SiR here are built-ups.
I have been wondering for a while, what do I call my car? EG9 98 Spec? EG9-R? Any cool suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
