It doesn't matter? It makes no difference if they say "May I look under your hood" or "Pop your hood right now". You can say f**k you, unless they have a good reason to open it(if they heard a bov or see an intercooler for example) and they wont be able to do anything about it.Did he ask you to pop the hood or did he order you to do it? i think they only do that for stolen parts/engines.Hey at least your car didnt get crushed
or if they suspect the part/engine is stolen and you cant provide proof that you bought them legally.
