Do anyone know how much horsepower can I expect when turboeing the b16 motor with the Greddy Turbo kit with 6psi of boost and a front mount Intercooler?
e-manage = s**t.anfrey said:a b16a2, intercooled, running e-manage on stock settings... i'd guess u'd see a 40whp increase
greddy's not bad, but i think the snail maxes out at 15psi... at least for the 15G... i think the b16 kit comes with a larger turbo... may max out at more than 1 barI Cause Cancer said:e-manage = s**t.
GReddy ain't worth it homie!
yeah but you can piece together way way better for the same priceanfrey said:greddy's not bad, but i think the snail maxes out at 15psi... at least for the 15G... i think the b16 kit comes with a larger turbo... may max out at more than 1 bar
absolutely correct that's definately the best way to do it.I Cause Cancer said:yeah but you can piece together way way better for the same price
how much boost are you pushing? what's your fuel management setup?jspeczcturbo said:on my dohc zc i made 188 hp at wheels, a stock dohc zc is 100 hp at wheels.
durrrrrTainted Ramen said:I'm sick of people dissing the GReddy kits on this site....f**kin stupid
no its not... you can piece together cheaper. VAFC hack + missing link works as good if not better than e-managejspeczcturbo said:it's a good kit though for the budget builder, who wants just a bit of power, but once you get just abit you get the itch for more.
nothing wrong with them except the fuel management it comes with... and the turbo maxing out at 15-18psi (depending on which kit u get)... but it's a good kit, comes with almost everything (minus intercooler and bov.... fuel pump, etc)Tainted Ramen said:I'm sick of people dissing the GReddy kits on this site....f**kin stupid
I agree. But we all know that the most important part of a turbo (or any tuning for that matter) is the ECU/management.anfrey said:nothing wrong with them except the fuel management it comes with... and the turbo maxing out at 15-18psi (depending on which kit u get)... but it's a good kit, comes with almost everything (minus intercooler and bov.... fuel pump, etc)
7psi, apex'i safc, split second vc2, walbo 255 fuel pump, rc 320 injectors, aem fuel rail, vortech fmu, clutch master stage three and flywheel, 3 icnh exhaust, msd ignition, ported throttle body, and ofcousre greddy turbo kit.how much boost are you pushing? what's your fuel management setup?
yeah it is, i never had e-manage on my car and it was fine.no its not... you can piece together cheaper. VAFC hack + missing link works as good if not better than e-manage
agreed, but that doesn't mean u can't do that with a greddy kit. one can easily purchase the kit, and not hook up the e-manage (which is still a step up from the bluebox, and *CAN* be tuned with the support tool) and do the afc hack instead. many are doing this.I Cause Cancer said:I agree. GReddy's management is sub-par IMHO; it is designed for stock motors on their turbo kit and thats it. Not modular at all.
Hence why, IMHO, VAFC > E-manage/blue box
agreed, but why not piece together a complete custom kit for less price? Especially if you're not going to be running the e-manage?anfrey said:agreed, but that doesn't mean u can't do that with a greddy kit. one can easily purchase the kit, and not hook up the e-manage (which is still a step up from the bluebox, and *CAN* be tuned with the support tool) and do the afc hack instead. many are doing this.
oh well, i don't even know wtf we're arguing
